Using Our Skills for Service to the Lord
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons." – 1 Corinthians 12:4–6
Do you ever find yourself minimizing the importance of your work? Whether you are a homemaker, a plumber, a teacher, a grocery clerk, or an accountant, if God has given you those abilities and placed you in that role, your work carries real significance in His sight.
In my own work as a webmaster, I have the opportunity to connect with people across the world–reaching those who may feel lost or searching for truth. Scripture reminds us that our daily work can be used for Christian witness, service, and the glory of God.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men" – Colossians 3:23

The Good News:
God created humanity to know Him and live in fellowship with Him. Yet the Bible teaches that all people have sinned and fall short of God's perfect holiness. Sin separates us from God and brings spiritual death.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."John 3:16 (KJV)
Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world. Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross as the substitute for sinners. Three days later He arose from the grave, demonstrating His victory over sin and death.Salvation is offered freely to all who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through Christ, we receive forgiveness, new life, and the promise of eternal fellowship with God.This is the gospel—the good news that God has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him.
